The following Terms of Sales applies to any online order that you place with Rakuten Kobo Inc. (“Kobo,” “we,” or “us”) located at 135 Liberty Street, Suite 101, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M6K 1A7. Please read the Terms carefully. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms of Sales including the additional terms and policies referenced herein.
Kobo reserves the right to change any part of these Terms. It is your responsibility to check the Terms periodically for changes.
You may have rights under consumer protection laws of the jurisdiction of your purchase, or, if different, residence, which rights may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, in which case these Terms do not affect those rights to the extent that such rights may not be limited under law to those stated herein.
When you purchase your eReader and/or accessory, you will be charged the total amount of your order (plus any applicable taxes and shipping and handling charges) to the credit card provided. By concluding the transaction, you accept and agree to electronic invoicing.
Kobo accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Paypal. Kobo reserves the right to reject any and all tax exemption certificates.
Kobo reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order for any reason at any time prior to shipment, including after an order has been submitted, whether or not the order has been confirmed. We may attempt to contact you if all or a portion of your order is cancelled, or if additional information is required to complete and accept your order. We shall have no liability to you in the event of such cancellation.
Kobo will confirm your purchase by emailing you an order confirmation that outlines the details of your order, your order identification number and confirmation that the payment has been made to Kobo and that your credit card has been charged accordingly. Once your order leaves Kobo’s warehouse, Kobo will send you a second email with details on how to track the delivery of your order.

The cost of standard delivery will be applied to all orders. Kobo does not ship to PO Boxes and will require a street address for delivery. No deliveries will be made on a weekend. Your order will usually be delivered to you within 7 to 10 days of the date of purchase.
We try to deliver on time, but we cannot guarantee timely delivery due to limitations including but not limited to extreme weather conditions, credit check, order of incompatible items (e.g. Touch 2.0 with Aura H2O accessory) and inaccurate address.
If an order cannot be delivered due to inaccurate or incomplete delivery information provided by you then the order will be returned to Kobo and you will be charged for all shipping and handling costs incurred. If an order cannot be delivered due to unavailability at the delivery address or refusal at the door, then the order will be returned to Kobo and you will be charged for all shipping and handling costs incurred.

If you wish to cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase, applicable restocking fee will not be applied.
If you wish to cancel your order after 24 hours of purchase, applicable restocking fee will be applied for delivery and return of product.
If you are dissatisfied with your eReader and/or accessory purchased through nz.kobobooks.com for any reason, you have thirty (30) calendar days after the date of purchase to inform Kobo’s Customer Care (http://www.kobo.com/help) of your intention to cancel the order and return the goods to us. You must contact the Customer Care to inform your intention to cancel the order before you return the goods. You must return the goods in its original condition and provide a tracking number to us. All delivery charges required to return the goods are at your expense. Upon receipt of the returned goods, Kobo will refund the cost of such goods to the credit card charged at the time of purchase, less any applicable restocking fees. Warranty & Help
If you encounter problems with your eReader, please contact Kobo’s Customer Care to resolve the issue (http://www.kobo.com/help). If, within the warranty period, the issue cannot be resolved, you may exchange your defective eReader in accordance with Kobo’s warranty.
